No one dared to argue about his extraordinary strategy and question the overwhelming victory he achieved but there was another poker star whose skills and dedication to the game were greatly appreciated. Bruno Politano, the Brazilian player who made his compatriots proud, succeeded in drawing the attention of the media and plenty of poker experts.
Monday evening was filled with thrill and emotions because the WSOP Main Event was supposed to take place but Bruno Politano will remember the date 10th of November not only as the day of an important poker event but also because of the support his fans provided him with.
More than 150 Brazilians went to the venue where Politano was in order to encourage him and show him that they are proud of his accomplishment. The Penn and Teller Theater became a lively place and all passer-bys were amused by the enthusiasm of Politano’s supporters.
Although the performance of the poker star was not the most notable one in his career, he didn’t seem to be mad at himself. On the contrary – being ranked at eight place couldn’t put him in a bad mood and once the tournament was over, Bruno Politano spent some quality time with his closest friends.
The poker pro commented that he doesn’t regard the eight place as a disappointing achievement and added that winning the bracelet would have been a great reward but what makes him a champion is the wonderful circle of friends and family who are always by his side.
Although Politano denies regarding the poker game as a source of a stable income and pretends that playing poker is his passion, he got $947 million during the WSOP Main Event.
As soon as he left the WSOP Main Event, Politano was surrounded by friends and journalists and he confirmed that earning money is not the main reason why he takes part in poker tournaments. Then, he pointed out at his friends and added that their appreciation, encouragement and loyalty are the factors that make him participate in tough competitions
Politano also said that he is really happy to know that poker is getting more and more popular in Brazil and residents have started to realize that winning a poker game is not a pure luck but a combination of proper strategy and hard work. Although Politano did not become a winner, the fact that hundreds of Brazilians were singing and waving country’s flags and became aware of of the essence of the poker game due to his participation in WSOP, are the greatest reward a player can get.
