Located in Robinsonville, Mississippi, Horseshoe Tunica Hotel & Casino is currently playing host to a stop on the 2015/16 WSOP Circuit schedule. The tournament will feature 12 gold ring events. And three of those have already been concluded, with the one-day $365 No-Limit Hold’em being the most recent one. Robb Idsinga topped its field to collect his first career gold ring and the amount of $28,379.
This has been the player’s second WSOP-related cash. Last October, Idsinga finished 24th in the 2015/16 WSOP Circuit Horseshoe Hammond $365 No-Limit Hold’em Monster Stack for $1,374.
Event #3 on the 2015/16 WSOP Circuit Horseshoe Tunica schedule ran on January 22 and featured 30-minute levels. It attracted a rather large field of 430 entries from around the country who generated a prize pool of $129,000. Payouts were distributed to the top 45 finishers, with lowest ones worth $583.
It took about 11 hours of play for the official final table to be set. Nine-handed play started with Andrew Brinkley as the chip leader. The player had 975,000 in chips. Idsinga was 7th in chips at the beginning of the final table.
And it was Brinkley whom Idsinga had to face heads-up. However, odds were in the latter’s favor last night and the player from Nunica, Michigan bested the event’s field to collect the prestigious gold piece and the first-place prize. As for Brinkley, he took home $17,538 for his runner-up finish.
Bruce Webb from Oak Ridge, Tennessee finished 3rd in the event for $12,815. Darren Castleman from Mandeville, Louisiana took 4th place to receive $9,515 for his efforts. Matthew Davidson from Birmingham, Alabama collected $7,175 for finishing 5th.

William Brock from Pelham, Alabama scooped $3,359 of the entire prize pool for his 8th place. Rounding out the official final table, David Burleson from Newland, North Carolina took 9th place for $2,683.
With the completion of last night’s event, there are still nine gold rings to be distributed at Horseshoe Tunica. The WSOP Circuit will stay at the gambling venue up to February 1. The four-day $1,675 Main Event is scheduled to kick off on January 29.
