Day 3 of the EPT Season 12 Dublin €5,300 Main Event is history. A total of 127 players returned yesterday at the Royal Dublin Society, hoping to make it to the money bubble. And the day was completed with 45 survivors who are to return at the venue today at noon local time.

The €5,300 Main Event attracted a field of 605 entries who created a prize pool of €3,025,000. The top 87 finishers are to be paid a share of the money, with lowest payouts totaling €9,100. The winner will scoop the amount of €561,900, and all top 6 finishers will be secured with a six-figure sum for their performance in the tournament.

There were some well-known players who could not make it to the money, with 2015 November Niner Zvi Stern, Pratyush Buddiga, Michael Wang, and Chris Moorman being among those. German Sven Magirius turned out to be the bubble boy. He was eliminated in 88th place by Brazilian Alexandre Rivero to become the last player to leave the Main Event’s tables without a payout.

And PokerStars Team Pro Liv Boeree, Frenchman Fabrice Soulier, Mike McDonald, and Anthony Zinno were among the tournament entries who made it to the bubble but could not survive through the day. As mentioned above, there are 45 remaining players and the next to be eliminated will receive a payout of €11,440.

Day 4 of the €5,300 Main Event is to kick off with Englishman Alex Goulder as the chip leader. The player bagged up a total of 1,020,000 in chips last night, good for 102 big blinds. It could be said that Goulder is an EPT regular. Most recently, he topped the field of the EPT Season 12 Prague €1,100 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo – Win the Button – 6-Handed, collecting €31,895 for his efforts.

The player is also a one-time WPT National Man Event winner. In 2014, he emerged victorious in the €2,000 partypoker WPT National Main Event in Prague to receive €105,000, his best live cash so far. Overall, the player’s live tournament winnings currently amount to $881,661.

Day 4 of the EPT Season 12 Dublin €5,300 Main Event will also see players like PokerStars Team Pro Luca Pagano, PokerStars Team Online Jaime Staples, Scott Margereson, Nick Petrangelo, Dzmitry Urbanovich return at the tables of the Royal Dublin Society, all hoping to capture the first-place prize and to become the first EPT Dublin Main Event champion in eight years.
