Developer and supplier of solutions for the online gambling industry GameAccount Network plc announced that it has inked an agreement with Atlantic City’s Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa for the launch of Simulated Gaming online experience at the venue. Under the terms of the agreement, GAN will also be offered the opportunity to manage the casino’s real-money Regulated Gaming in case it meets the necessary conditions.
The Simulated Gaming experience will be integrated into My Borgata Rewards, known to be the facility’s loyalty program, which has provenly been increasing the number of customers visiting the land-based casino. According to both GAN and Borgata officials it has been designed to reassert the venue’s relationship with gambling customers playing social casino games online.
As for Borgata’s Regulated Gaming product offering, it is to be operated by GAN’s GameSTACK online gambling system. It, too, will be integrated with the casino’s loyalty program. However, GAN will be able to manage the Regulated Gaming experience only if it is given the necessary approval by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement. In addition, Borgata needs provide the gaming supplier with permission to begin operations.
Commenting on the latest agreement, GAN CEO Dermot Smurfit said that it is part of their strategy to serve as a solution for both real-money Regulated Gaming and Simulated Gaming and that in some cases one platform may serve both options.
Mr. Smurfit further noted that this year, GAN will start serving Simulated Gaming to Borgata customers that live outside New Jersey. What is more, if his company receives consent both from the state gambling regulator and the casino itself, it will start serving real-money Regulated Gaming to Borgata customers who live within New Jersey’s borders in the months to come.
Borgata President and COO Tom Ballance added that GAN’s capability and experience and the fact that the Borgata brand has already established itself in the gambling market will guarantee the successful introduction of the Simulated Gaming online experience. He further pointed out that thus, the casino will add yet another gambling segment to diversify its already extensive portfolio. Mr. Ballance concluded that they are glad to also gave GAN’s real-money online gambling product available when needed.
