The 2015/16 WSOP International Circuit is heading to another exciting destination next week. Georgia will be welcoming the popular series for the very first time ever. The Tbilisi Sports Palace will play host to the major poker event from March 3 through March 9 and some of the world’s biggest poker stars have already confirmed that they will be there.

The festival is the result from the collaboration between the WSOP and one of Georgia’s biggest online gambling operators – Adjarabet. Organizers revealed recently that Dzmitry Urbanovich and Steve O’Dwyer will most certainly be among the players who will be spotted at the tables of the Tbilisi Sports Palace. Speaking of the host venue, it is said to be Georgia’s biggest indoor sports arena.

The appearance of the above-mentioned two players is highly anticipated and this is hardly a surprise, given their recent accomplishments on the live circuit. It was only a few days ago when Urbanovich topped the field of the EPT Season 12 Dublin Main Event, the first one to be held on Irish soil in eight years.

As for O’Dwyer, he has been ranking 1st in the GPI leaderboard for 6 weeks now. Over the span of the past two months, the player bested the fields of two high roller events – the PCA $50,000 High Roller for a first-place prize of $945,495, and the Aussie Millions Poker Championship A$250,000 Challenge for a top prize of A$1,051,959. In addition, he finished 4th in two other high roller tournaments – the inaugural WPT National Philippines $200,000 Triton Super High Roller Series for a payout of $953,700, and the Aussie Millions Poker Championship A$25,000 Challenge for A$263,520.

Apart from Urbanovich and O’Dwyer, organizers from Adjarabet have confirmed that Dominik Panka, Daniel Cates, Mateusz Dziewoński, Marcin Wydrowski, and many more will also join fellow players to celebrate WSOP’s expansion into that part of the world and to compete for a share of several quite attractive guaranteed prize pools.

Indisputably, the $1,000 Main Event to take place from March 6-9 will be the festival’s highlight tournament as it will feature a guaranteed prize pool of $300,000 and its winner will be secured with a seat into the 2016 WSOP Circuit $1,000,000 Global Casino Championship. The $300 Adjarabet Championship with a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000 is yet another promising event on the schedule.
