Danske Spil, which has recently appointed international developer of solutions for the gambling industry Scientific Games as main interactive and lottery supplier, revealed that Fibetco latest project BetOnFinance has drawn its attention.
Generally speaking, the said project is aimed at combining betting and financing markets into one, thus making it possible for people with less knowledge of finance matters to participate in financial markets. The online betting project that, as it was explained by Fibetco, merges together online gambling with share movements now has attracted the attention of the Danish state-owned provider of online gambling options.
Local media reported that Danske Spil has praised the project and has found merit in it. It also seems that the gambling operator intends to assist the venture’s future development and to monitor closely its progress.
BetOnFinance was founded by Jeff Saul, a Danish financial expert with years of experience as senior banking official and market analyst. Mr. Saul has said that a website like his has quite a lot of potential as it offers something different and gives online gambling customers an insight into the world of finance and share movements.
According to Mr. Saul, no special regulations would be needed so as for the website to be run as the games offered on it are very similar to daily fantasy sports and there is no link between the underlying stock’s performance and a player’s winnings.
Essentially, customers bet on the best performers or the worst ones. They can choose from a list of about 30 firms. Mr. Saul has also explained that what they offer is not a financial product but a pool-betting one. The BetOnFinance founder has also said that he has been granted a license to offer the product in Denmark. He also plans to apply for a license from the Maltese gambling regulator before focusing his attention on the UK online gambling market, known to be among the largest ones in the world.
Sofie Ustrup, a spokesperson for Danske Spil, has recently told media that they have always been striving to follow new trends on the gambling market and that according to them, Fibetco’s product is one with great potential, as it gives Danish gambling customers the chance to peek into the stock market world and participate in it, even though they are not experts in the field.
