NetEnt Joins World Lottery Association as Associate Member

News

Swedish provider of solutions for the international gaming industry NetEnt announced today that it has linked to the World Lottery Association as an associate member. The WLA is a member-based organization that aims at advancing and promoting the interests of state-owned lotteries across the world.

Being a supplier of both gaming and systems solutions for the international online gambling industry and working with Lottomatica, the state-run Danske Spil, and other prominent lottery customers, NetEnt has been given the green light to join the WLA as its associate member. The Swedish company’s membership could help it further grow its operations by supplying its solutions to other members of the lottery association.

Currently, the WLA is working with gaming organizations and state-owned lotteries from over 80 countries. The association also includes a number of associate members from the global supplier industry. WLA officials have repeatedly pointed out that all members of the association are expected to follow strict social responsibility, security and risk management, and responsible gaming standards.

Commenting on NetEnt becoming an associate WLA member, Per Eriksson, CEO and President of the Swedish company, said that online gambling options are about “entertainment and excitement” and that their membership is an important stamp for quality. Being a member of the association is another indication of the supplier’s commitment to responsible and safe gaming, the executive added.

Mr. Eriksson further commented that they are striving for a constant growth and expansion. And according to him, joining the WLA as an associate member will give the company the chance to expand its presence in a market segment it deems extremely important.

NetEnt started 2016 with a bang as it received a number of casino accolades and released three of the four online slots titles of the NetEnt Rock series. In January, the company launched the highly anticipated Guns N’ Roses slot and scooped the eGR Nordic Awards Casino Content Provider of the Year and the Casinomeister Awards Best Software Experience awards.

In February, the gaming software supplier launched Jimi Hendrix and Motörhead and bagged Slots Provider of the Year at the International Gaming Awards, and Casino Solutions Provider of the Year at the Gaming Intelligence Awards.
