Ireland, South Korea, Philadelphia, and Maryland will play host to some of the major poker tournaments to begin in the week between March 21-27. They all promise to be equally exciting, offering players the chance to win a share of substantial guaranteed prize pools and to try their luck and skills against peers from all around the world.
The Irish Open 2016
The Irish Open 2016 is set to take place at Dublin’s Citywest Hotel. The tournament will run from March 21-28 and will feature a total of 32 different No-Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha, and other poker events. The €1,150 Irish Open Main Event or Event #15 on the schedule will begin on March 24. It will be a five-day one and will feature a guaranteed prize pool of €500,000.
2016 APT Daegu
The South Korean city of Daegu is the next to play host to the Asian Poker Tour. Hotel Inter-Burgo Casino will welcome players from all around the world for a thrilling poker festival running from March 23-31. There will be as many as 18 separate events with buy-ins of between KRW165,000 and KRW3,300,000. The five-day Main Event with a KRW1,650,000 buy-in fee is scheduled to begin on March 26.
2016 Poker Night Classic
Poker Night Classic is next set to go to SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. One of Philadelphia’s most popular poker destinations will play host to the tournament from March 23 to April 11. Interested players will be offered the chance to enter 14 events, including No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha ones. Buy-ins for those vary from $95 to $1,100 for the four-day Poker Night in America Main Event. Speaking of the Main Event, it will kick off on April 8 and its final day will be televised.
2015/16 WSOP Circuit Baltimore
Horseshoe Casino Baltimore in Baltimore, Maryland will be the next stop on the 2015/16 WSOP Circuit schedule. As any such stop, this one, too, will give players from around the nation as well as international ones the chance to take part in 12 gold ring events as well as a number of other special tournaments.
The festival will run from March 24 to April 4 and will kick off with a $365 No-Limit Hold’em gold ring event and a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million. The four-day Main Event is scheduled for April 1-4. Players will need to pay a buy-in fee of $1,675 in order to be able to enter it and scoop a share of the guaranteed $1.5-million prize pool.
