Supplier of technology and content for the international gambling industry NYX Gaming Group Ltd. revealed that it has inked a letter of intent with lottery operators De Nederlandse Staatsloterij and De Lotto for the future execution of a content agreement. Under its terms, NYX Gaming would supply online gaming product offering and player account management solutions via its own Open Platform System to the major Dutch lottery businesses.
The gaming supplier said that it started evaluating the potential content deal last December, when De Nederlandse Staatsloterij, or else known as the Dutch State Lottery, and De Lotto were granted the green light to merge their operations. The combination of the two lottery operators would create a €1-billion entity. The merger is expected to be completed very soon.
Under the terms of the future agreement between NYX Gaming and De Nederlandse Staatsloterij/De Lotto, the gaming supplier would not only integrate its OPS solution but would also launch a selection of the most popular slot games and scratch card titles developed by NYX Gaming’s proprietary studio NextGen Gaming across the lottery operators’ websites. Titles like Merlin’s Millions Superbet, Jackpot Jester 50,000, and Foxin’ Wins are to be rolled out and become available to Dutch gambling customers once the agreement is signed and the necessary integration is completed.
Commenting on the latest announcement, Matt Davey, CEO of NYX Gaming, said in a statement that they consider it a great privilege to work with De Nederlandse Staatsloterij /De Lotto and to provide their OPS solution and gaming content to what would soon be one lottery business.
Mr. Davey further noted that NYX Gaming is one of the few internationally recognized suppliers of gaming content and related solutions to be a World Lottery Association member. Given this, the company is in an excellent position to partner with national lottery operators from around the world, the executive added.
Founded in 1726, De Nederlandse Staatsloterij is the largest and the oldest organization to be providing a number of lottery games to residents of the Netherlands. As for De Lotto, it was founded in 1961 and has ever since been managing several lottery brands. The business is known to have annually been donating millions of Euros to various causes related to the welfare of Dutch residents. The two organizations are to merge their operations in a bid to establish themselves as leaders in the soon-to-be-regulated Dutch online gambling market.
