Kentucky-based multi-channel race broadcasting company Sky Racing World announced today that it has secured a partnership agreement with Hipodromo Argentino de Palermo, known to be the oldest horse-racing track venue in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Under the terms of the deal, Sky Racing World, which is subsidiary of major Australian gambling operator Tabcorp, will simulcast exclusively all races that take place at the Argentinian track to various advance deposit wagering companies, as well as off-track betting shops and racetracks across Australia, Canada, the Caribbean, New Zealand, South Africa, and the United States.
Sky Racing World’s latest distribution deal follows one that the company penned with Spanish gambling operator Codere in December 2015. Under its agreement with the Buenos Aires-based track, the Tabcorp subsidiary will be able to introduce its services to the Argentinian market and to expand its presence in South America.
Sky Racing World will distribute all races that are to take place at Hipodromo Argentino de Palermo for simulcast wagering to partners in some of the biggest international markets. Wagering pools are to be hosted by Isle of Man-based Premier Gateway International, a joint venture between Phumelela Gaming and Leisure and Tabcorp.
In Canada, the Caribbean, and the United States, the broadcast company will distribute racing content to advance deposit wagering brands operating in the local markets. As mentioned above, the distribution deal also includes racetracks and off-track betting facilities across North America.
Racing content will be distributed to Tabcorp so as to be available to Australian betting customers. Hipodromo Argentino de Palermo events will be broadcast live and video-streamed via Tabcorp’s Sky Racing broadcaster. Racing content will also be distributed to the New Zealand market through an existing partnership between Sky Racing World and the New Zealand Racing Board.
The broadcasting company will start distributing racing content in April. It said that more international partnerships are to be announced in the first half of the year.
Commenting on the latest deal, Sky Racing World President and CEO David Haslett said that they are excited to partner with Hipodromo Argentino de Palermo and to distribute racing content to North America, which is their core market, as well as to Australasian markets, known to be core markets for their parent company.
