Scott Buller Wins 2015/16 WSOP Circuit $365 Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Scott Buller was the star in the $365 Limit Omaha 8 or Better event at Horseshoe Council Bluffs, which is currently hosts a WSOP Circuit stop. Buller emerged victorious to take home his first-ever gold ring and the amount of $10,531.

The player from Lincoln, Nebraska has quite an impressive portfolio with a second-place finish in a WSOP Seniors tournament and cashes in a number of other prestigious tournaments. His live tournament winnings now amount to more than $1.2 million. And after last night, the player can also boast of a WSOP-related gold piece.

The $365 Limit Omaha 8 or Better kicked off on April 3. The two-day event attracted a total of 117 entries. The generated prize pool amounted to $35,100. The top 12 places were paid, with min-cash worth $733.

Day 1 of the tournament ended with 25 players bagging up their chips, led by one-time gold ring winner Dean Jackson with 160,000. The ten-handed final table was set sometime in the middle of Day 2. Ten-handed action started with Jackson as the chip leader. The player managed to accumulate a stack of 378,000. As for Buller, he was fourth in chips at that time of the tournament.

Eventually, the two players faced each other heads-up. However, it was Buller who captured the gold ring and the first-place prize. It is interesting to note that Jackson won his first WSOP Circuit gold piece back in 2010 at that same venue and in the same event. Last night, the player from Waukon, Iowa took $6,508 for his runner-up finish.

Three-time gold ring winner Allen Kessler from Las Vegas, Nevada collected $4,634 for his 3rd place in the event. Charles Marty from Seward, Nebraska took 4th place for $3,366. One-time gold ring winner Kelly Vande Mheen from Omaha, Nebraska received $2,494 for finishing 5th. Joshua Pender from Austin, Texas collected $1,882 for his 6th place.

Robert Wittman from Asbury, Iowa finished 7th for a payout of $1,448. Sean Moore from Omaha, Nebraska scooped $1,134 for finishing 8th. Bret Michalsky from Sergeant Bluff, Iowa took 9th place for $904. Robert Michel from Wichita, Kansas collected $733 for taking 10th place. Dustin Kern from Sioux Falls, South Dakota finished 11th for $733. Two-time gold ring winner William Byrnes from Wentzville, Missouri took 12th place, good for $733.
