Spring has come, bringing series of exciting poker tournaments with even more exciting opportunities for players to win a share of considerable prize pools as well as different other prizes. Here are some of the major festivals scheduled to start between April 11-17 and all the important details about those.
2016 Spring Poker Open
The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey will play host to the poker festival from April 12-29. Its schedule includes 19 different events, with No-Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha, and H.O.R.S.E. being among those. Some of the tournaments to take place at the Borgata are to feature guaranteed prize pools of up to $1 million.
The five-day $2,700 Main Event is slated to take place from April 24-28. It is among the events with guaranteed prize pools. Entries will have the chance to win a portion of the guaranteed $1-million prize pool.
2016 APT Philippines
The Asia Poker Tour is next set to go to Manila, the beautiful capital of the Philippines. Resorts World Manila, known to be the country’s first integrated casino resort, will host the major tournament. It will feature 20 different events. Here it is important to note that the Pineapple poker game, which has been gaining quite a lot of popularity lately, especially among Asian players, will also be included in the APT Philippines schedule.
The Main Event is set to start on April 15. It will be a five-day one and players will have to pay the amount of $3,300 in order to be able to enter it. The whole festival will run from April 13-21.
2015/16 WSOP Circuit Cherokee
Harrah’s Cherokee in Cherokee, North Carolina will be one of the last stops in the 2015/16 season of the WSOP Circuit. As usual, the tournament’s schedule will include 12 gold ring and several other special events. It will kick off on April 14 with a five-day $365 No-Limit Hold’em event with a guaranteed prize pool of $500,000.
As for the $1,675 Main Event, it will begin on April 22 and will be a four-day one. Entries will have the chance to win a share of a guaranteed $1-million prize pool.
2016 Spring Classic
Playground Poker Club in the Kahnawake Territory in Quebec, Canada will also play host to a spring poker festival. It is slated to start on April 17 and will be running through May 5. Players will have the chance to enter as many as 17 different events. The Main Event will commence on April 29. It will be a seven-day one and its buy-in fee will amount to C$3,500.
2016 GUKPT Reading
Reading is the third stop on the schedule of the current GUKPT season. The tournament will take place from April 17-24 and will feature 13 events. The £550 Main Event is to begin on April 15 and will feature a guaranteed prize pool of £100,000.
