The UKIPT Season 6 London stop was completed last night with the end of the £770 Main Event. Usman Siddique won the event to scoop the first-place prize of £84,100 and the tournament trophy.

The tournament began on April 6 and featured three starting flights and two more days of play. It drew an overall field of 644 entrants to create a prize pool of £435,691. The top 95 finishers were paid a portion of the money, with min-cashes worth £1,300.

As mentioned above, the Main Event was completed on Sunday with Usman Siddique getting the lion’s share of the prize pool and the spadelike trophy. Day 3, the tournament’s final one, kicked off with none other but Siddique as the chip leader. The player had a total of 4,337,000 in chips. Cards were thrown in the air with ten players contending for a seat at the final table and for the title, of course.

It took only five minutes of play before the official nine-handed final table was set. Anatolis Jevtejev from Lithuania was busted in 10th place to collect the amount of £5,640 for his deep run in the tournament.

Englishman Jack Hardcastle was the first finalist to leave the final table. He was eliminated by David Gassian from France to scoop the amount of £6,900 of the entire prize pool. It took some time before another player hit the rail. About two and a half hours after the beginning of play, David Docherty was busted in 8th place for £8,731.

Morten Halvorsen from Norway was the next to go. He was eliminated in 7th place for a payout of £12,780. Englishman Jack Salter, who was probably the best-known player at the final table, took 6th place in the Main Event to collect the amount of £17,550.

Daniel Harwood took 5th place, good for £22,540. Warren Russell was the next to leave. His 4th place in the tournament secured him with a payout of £28,450. Shortly after, Joe Hindry hit the rail in 3rd place. The player received the amount of £37,310 for his performance.

Thus, there were only two players left at the final table – Usman Siddique and David Gassian. Two-handed play started with Siddique holding a massive chip lead over his only remaining opponent. As it could be suggested, it did not take much before the name of the winner became clear.

On the final hand in play, Gassian went all in pre-flop and his opponent called. Siddique tabled [Ah][6h] against Gassian’s [Ks][2h]. The board came [5h][Jd][6d][Jc][3s], thus securing Siddique with the title and Gassian with the runner-up finish and the consolation prize of £51,930.
