Despite his young age, German poker pro Fedor Holz is already a big name in the world of poker. Over the past several years, the player has achieved quite a lot both on the live circuit and online. With live tournament earnings of $8,130,328, Holz currently ranks 6th in Germany’s all-time money list.

Speaking of rankings, the young player reached his best GPI rank after this week’s update of poker’s most highly respected leaderboard. Holz is now taking 3rd place with 4,106.34 points accumulated over the past 36 months.

Most recently, the player ranked 5th in the ongoing EPT Season 12 Grand Final €50,000 Single-Day Super High Roller. His share of the prize pool amounted to €271,670 and he also collected 316.35 points. He has cashed in three more events since the beginning of the major poker festival. An important result to be taken into consideration was his fourth-place finish in the EPT Season 12 Grand Final €10,300 High Roller for a payout of €169,000 and 411.89 GPI points.

The young German wowed the poker world earlier this year when he topped the field of the inaugural WPT National Philippines $200,000 Triton Super High Roller. The player took home the amount of $3,463,500 for his victory, which has been his biggest live cash so far, and added 473.64 points to his GPI score. What made Holz’s achievement even more impressive was the fact that only two weeks earlier he had won another high roller tournament.

In December, the player bested the field of the WPT Alpha8 $100,000 High Roller for a first-place prize of $1,589,219 and 456.31 GPI points.

Since the beginning of his poker career, Holz has cashed in as many as 50 different events. He has won some of the world’s most prestigious tournaments and has made numerous final table appearances in quite a lot of them.

It was only a few days ago when the young German was honored with the GPI Player of the Year award at the 16th annual European Poker Awards. The player received a shiny statuette for collecting the most GPI Player of the Year points of all European players in the leaderboard over the course of the twelve months ended December 31, 2015.
