WPT National Iberia
Season 2016/2017 of the WPT National will kick off on May 12 with three poker festivals across the Iberian Peninsula. The first one will take place at Casino Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain, the second will be hosted by Casino Espinho in Espinho, Portugal, and the third one will be at Casino Gran Madrid in Madrid, Spain.
The three tournaments will feature a number of poker events, with the €750 Main Event being the highlight one with its guaranteed prize pool of €333,333. Although the event is set to begin in all three locations on May 12, it will be completed on May 21-22 in Madrid. The event will feature two starting flights and two more days of play at each of the three above-mentioned locations. The remaining players from each of the three casinos will then gather together at Casino Gran Madrid to play down to a champion.
2015/16 WSOP Circuit New Orleans
The 2015/16 season of the WSOP Circuit will be completed at Harrah’s New Orleans. The popular poker series will stay in Louisiana from May 12 through May 23. The New Orleans’ stop will be no different from the rest of the WSOP Circuit stops throughout the season. In other words, it will feature 12 gold ring events and a number of other special tournaments. The $1,675 Main Event will take place from May 20 to May 23.
2016 East Coast Poker Championships
Turning Stone Casino and Resort in Verona, New York will welcome players for this eleven-day festival from May 12. There will be as many as 7 different events to take place within the championship and the $570 Main Event is the most highly anticipated one. It will feature a guaranteed $100,000 prize pool. The event is scheduled to kick off on May 19 and will be a four-day one.
2016 LAPT Panama
Sortis Hotel, Spa & Casino in Panama will welcome players from May 12-16 for the third stop on the LAPT Season 9 schedule. Last year, the event proved to be quite successful, with Shakeeb Kazemipur winning the Main Event for a payout of $180,112.
This year, the LAPT Panama poker festival will feature as many as 17 different events. The $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event with Unlimited Re-entries is set to kick off on May 12 and to run through May 16.
APT Experience Manila 2016
The beautiful city of Manila will once again welcome the Asian Poker Tour. Waterfront Manila Pavilion Hotel & Casino will play host to the APT Experience Manila from May 14-22. Players will have the chance to enter any of the 20 different events on the festival’s schedule. Apart from No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha, there will also be two Open Face Chinese Pineapple Shootouts. The APT Experience Manila 2016 PHP55,000 Main Event is to start on May 17.
