Every summer, Las Vegas traditionally turns into the gathering place for poker enthusiasts and professionals as the city hosts not only the annual WSOP poker festival but also a number of other thrilling tournaments. Several of these are set to kick off in the week between May 31-June 5. More information about them could found in the following few paragraphs.
2016 World Series of Poker
The 47th edition of what has generally been considered as the world’s most prestigious poker tournament is set to start on May 31. Players will have up to July 18 to enter any of the events included in this year’s schedule of the series and try to win a gold bracelet and to add substantial amounts of money to their bankrolls.
This summer, there will be 69 gold bracelet events to take place as part of the exciting poker festival, which once again will be hosted by Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. As usual, the $10,000 Championship will be the event to attract the greatest attention. However, the 2016 WSOP schedule is full of a number of other exciting events, with the $565 Colossus with a guaranteed $7 million prize pool being one of those.

2016 Grand Poker Series
Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino would not be the only place in Las Vegas to feature a major poker tournament this summer. Another such event is slated to kick off on May 31 at Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino. The 2016 Grand Poker Series is to run through July 3 and would feature a total of 89 different events, some of which with guaranteed prize pools of up to $500,000.
Although the majority of tournaments would be No-Limit Hold’em ones, there will also be other poker variants as well, including Pot-Limit Omaha, H.O.R.S.E., etc.
2016 Summer Poker Series
The Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, California will, too, be the gathering place for poker players and fans of the game for the next month. The casino would host a thrilling poker festival from June 1-30. There are 20 different events included in its schedule and some of these feature guaranteed prize pools of between $15,000 and $100,000.
The thirteen-day $235 No-Limit Hold’em QR Concept event is the highlight tournament to take place as part of the series. The event will have 30 starting flights and two more days of play. It is also important to note that it will offer entries the chance to win their portion of the guaranteed prize pool of $400,000.
2016 Summer Classic
As it could be seen, June is set to bring quite a lot of excitement to players located in or traveling to Las Vegas. Wynn Las Vegas would be another casino to play host to a poker festival. The 2016 Summer Classic is scheduled to run from June 2 to July 19. As many as 34 No-Limit Hold’em events will take place as part of the series’ schedule, with the greater part of those being single-day ones. All of the events will feature guaranteed prize pools of between $25,000 and $750,000 for the Main Event.
As for the Main Event itself, its is to be the last tournament on the schedule and will take place from July 16 to July 19.
WPT National Cannes
The WPT National has already arrived at Le Croisette Casino Barriere de Cannes in Cannes and action is set to start today, May 30 with numerous satellites for the PMU.fr WPT National Cannes €1,200 Main Event. The actual tournament is to kick off on June 2 and will run through June 5.
The €2,200 WPT National High Roller is another exciting event included in the schedule.
