News

Provider of sports betting data solutions Betradar announced that gambling operator SNAI has become the first company to be authorised by Italian gambling regulators to introduce betting on eSports in the country. SNAI would integrate Betradar’s eSports Betting Service for the purpose.

By opting for the provider’s recently launched product, SNAI is making its first foray into a market segment that is expected to generate revenue of $23 billion on a global scale by the end of the decade.

Generally speaking, Betradar is the industry’s first supplier of a full eSports betting suite, one that includes pre-match and in-play betting options. Bettors are able to wager on a number of popular eSports titles and are provided with comprehensive information, including statistics and live scores.

It is also important to note that given the speed with which live streams are available, gambling customers are offered access to matches as these are unfolding. Betradar is working together with Electronic Sports League in order to make sure that gambling operators are provided with best quality data in the fastest manner.

Commenting on the latest announcement, SNAI CEO Fabio Schiavolin, said that betting on eSports is an option that would play an important role in sports betting’s future and that gambling operators should not ignore its significance.

The executive further noted that by integrating the eSports Betting Service, SNAI would not simply improve its catalog of product offering but would also play a key role in identifying the opportunities and profitability of the latest market trends and responding to the changing demographic demands.

Lorenzo Caci, Director Sales at Sportradar, parent company of Betradar, said that they are extremely happy with the long-term partnership sealed with SNAI, with betting on eSports being in its early stages of development but already experiencing incredible growth. The official further noted that being among the first operators to have integrated their eSports Betting Service, SNAI would most certainly be able to capitalize on the opportunities the growing betting on eSports market is offering and will be offering in future.

Mr. Caci added that through its partnership with Betradar, the Italian sports betting operator would be provided with the best possible system for manipulation detection to be offered within the industry.
