Danzer captured his second title from that same event and his fourth gold bracelet ever. In addition, he received a nice first-place payout of $338,646.

A three-day tournament, the $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo Split-8 or Better Championship was played from June 25-27. As many as 136 entries paid the $10,000 buy-in fee to enter the tournament. The prize pool totaled $1,278,400 and was distributed to the top 21 players.

Day 3 of the event started with 12 players returning to contend for the gold bracelet and the top prize. Ten of them had already won a gold piece. The final 12 were led by Justin Bonomo. At the time the official eight-handed final table was set, Todd Brunson, the son of living poker legend Doyle Brunson, was the chip leader.

Despite the tough competition, Danzer made it to the very end, capturing his fourth gold bracelet and second one for winning the same tournament. One-time gold bracelet winner Randy Ohel from Las Vegas, Nevada was the eventual champion’s last obstacle to overcome before getting his hands on the gold piece. At the beginning of two-handed play, the two opponents were almost even in chips, but Danzer was indisputably the one to strike as the more experienced player.

Heads-up match did not last long before the final hand was played. With the [3s], Ohel was the bring-in. Danzer completed with the [4c]. Ohel placed two bets to see his opponent call. A [Kh] came for Ohel on fourth street and the player checked. Danzer bet and his opponent called.
