Gambling operator Vbet has been granted a remote operating license in the United Kingdom, partner BetConstruct announced today.
Vbet is owned by gambling company Vivaro Betting Ltd. Founded in 2003, the company has turned into a leading provider of gambling options across Armenia and Georgia at first and has gradually expanded into other markets. As for Vbet itself, the sports betting and gaming brand went live in 2008 and now offers a wide range of gambling options.
Vbet has been working in collaboration with BetConstruct, a leading provider of software for the international online gambling industry. Generally speaking, the gambling operator offers betting on a wide variety of live sports events as well as on eSports. It covers 30,000 live matches monthly and more than 40,000 pre-match events. Betting customers can place bets in 50 different categories.
Aside from that, the gambling operator also offers more than 2,000 casino games, live dealer casino options, poker, different skill-based games, financial betting, etc.
With Vbet now being granted a remote operating license by the UK Gambling Commission, it will be able to provide its services to gambling customers from the UK. The gambling operator would need to operate under regulations introduced by UK’s main gambling regulatory body towards the end of 2014, including the Point of Consumption tax provision. Vbet has long been eying growth in that particular regulated remote gambling market.
Commenting on the latest announcement, Sergey Harutyunyan, Chief Operations Officer at BetConstruct, said that his company has been working very hard over the past several years to make sure that it is “at the heart” of all major regulated online gaming markets. The official pointed out that they adhering to the UK Gambling Commission’s strict standards is a testament to their commitment.
Of the recently awarded remote gaming license, Mr. Harutyunyan said that it came as an addition to BetConstruct’s Software Supply license. The gaming supplier is planning to have the licenses granted extended to more gaming activities in the months to come.
BetConstruct received a Combined Remote Operating License by the UK Gambling Commission late in June, thus widening its presence in the UK gambling market, which is among the supplier’s core markets. The license would help BetConstruct further implement on its strategy to make sure that partners are meeting the necessary regulatory requirements when operating in the UK.
