Horse-racing content distributor Sky Racing World announced its financial results for the financial year ended June 30, 2016. Based in Louisville, Kentucky, the company provides Australasian racing content to gambling customers from North America. Sky Racing World is subsidiary of Australian gambling operator Tabcorp.
The company has been covering Australasian and New Zealand races. Over the past 12 months, it expanded significantly its coverage and it now includes racing events from Argentina and South Africa.
Sky Racing World generated turnover of $215 million during the twelve months ended June 30, 2016, up 13% as compared to the figure posted for the previous fiscal year. The horse-racing content distributor saw a particular growth in its core product offering – Australian races. Over the past financial year, Australian offering included more than 7,800 meetings.
The company also posted significant increase in turnover from New Zealand offering. Results from that particular market rose 42% year-on-year. As mentioned above, Sky Racing World began covering daily racing events from South Africa. The new offering also contributed to the overall increase in turnover.
Commenting on his company’s performance, President and CEO David Haslett said that they are really pleased with the growth reported for the latest fiscal year. The official also pointed out that American gambling customers seem to have “a growing appetite” for high-quality horse-racing offering and that this interest will certainly keep on growing over the next financial year with their extended Australasian racing offering.
Sky Racing World will continue pursuing opportunities related to their New Zealand and South African racing products as these, too, demonstrated substantial growth.
