Representatives of the Premier League Club Aston Villa announced that Bodog will be included in the list of Official Partners for the next season. The bookmaker is currently not granted marketing rights outside Asia, but nevertheless, it will be a part of Aston Villa’s roster of partners during the 2016/2017 season.
Bodog is known as one of the leading bookmakers that have been in the sports betting industry for a long time. These were the two reasons that made Aston Villa consider it a good fit for becoming their Official Asian Betting Partner.
Peter Wright, the Head of Partnerships at Aston Villa, commented on the new partnership and said that the club is actively seeking ways for expanding its Asian fans’ database by introducing various innovations. He also added that their aim was to popularize the Villa brand worldwide and the partnership with Bodog seemed the perfect tool for achieving this goal.
Mr. Wright went on to say that Aston Villa has already inked a couple of partnership agreements with the aim of popularizing its brand on a local, national and continental level. As their goal was to become a household name in the sports betting industry on a global scale, the club was excited to have the opportunity to fulfil that aim alongside Bodog.
The Marketing Director for Bodog Asia, Michael Bartinson, also commented on the partnership with the Villains. He did not miss to mention that the English Football League was undoubtedly one of the most competitive, exciting and difficult to predict leagues. He said that there was a great difference between the EFL Championship and some other leagues dominated by two or three teams.
In conclusion, he said that Villa was a club with rich history and a clear vision for the future and now was the best time for establishing a long-lasting relationship with the English club.
Bodog is the latest addition to the list of sports betting partners, but as mentioned above, the club also has inked agreements with other established names in the sports betting industry. A couple of days ago, Villa signed a partnership agreement with EnergyBet, which is an official betting partner of the club in the UK and Europe in general.
Aston Villa fans reminded that last year, their favourite club came with a bit of an unusual decision and named both bet365 and Betfair as their co-betting partners. The Villains also partnered with William Hill and Dafabet in previous seasons.
