With the Romanian gambling regulator now granting full gaming licenses to international operators and providers, Live Casino supplier Evolution Gaming announced that it would open the country’s first live studio at Grand Casino Bucharest. The Stockholm-listed provider has partnered with UK online casino games developer iSoftBet for the purpose.
The Live Casino studio will be launched later in September. It will be located one level below the casino’s actual gaming floor. As mentioned above, Evolution Gaming’s facility will be the first one to provide Live Casino options to operators that have been licensed to offer gambling products to local customers.
The Live Casino studio will first offer Evolution Gaming’s core titles with more content to be added at a later stage. Games will be available on desktop and hand-held devices. Under its partnership with the Live Casino supplier, iSoftBet will be able to provide its clients with such offering from the Grand Casino Bucharest studio.
Of his company’s latest partnership, iSoftBet CEO Nir Elbaz said that expansion across regulated iGaming markets is part of their growth strategy and being licensed in Romania, thus being given the opportunity to provide more than 60 titles, is a major step towards its implementation.
Mr. Elbaz said that Evolution Gaming was the natural choice for a partner, given the quality of the games offered by the Live Casino supplier. As the executive himself pointed out, his company will now be able to sell multi-product offering to clients operating in the regulated Romanian market and their players.
Evolution Gaming Director of Business Development and Land-Based Sales James Stern commented that they have chosen the best possible location for their Live Casino studio, as Grand Casino Bucharest is a venue that local players know very well.
Mr. Stern added that they have always strived to be the first Live Casino providers to roll out their products in newly regulated markets. The official expressed confidence that with Evolution Gaming’s proven track record of successful launches across new regulated jurisdictions, with Belgium, Spain, and Italy being few of those, the upcoming roll-out in Romania will prove to be just as successful.
