This week’s poker tournaments overview is comprised of three festivals to take place in the Asia-Pacific region, which seems to be establishing itself as the next big poker destination, three events in Las Vegas, and a WPT National festival in Sanremo. Gioco Digitale WPT National Sanremo

Sanremo certainly is a popular tourist destination. And the WPT National will turn the beautiful Italian city into an exciting poker destination over the next week. Casino Sanremo will open its doors for everyone who would like to enter any of the WPT National events slated to take place between October 3-10. The festival is set to begin with satellite tournaments.

The Gioco Digitale WPT National Sanremo €1,000 Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of €300,000 will take place on October 7-10.

APT Manila

The Asian Poker Tour, one of Asia’s largest poker series, will next be hosted by Waterfront Manila Pavilion Hotel & Casino in the Philippine capital. An exciting poker festival will be running at the gambling venue from October 4 through October 12. As usual, the APT will offer a variety of formats, buy-in levels, and numerous opportunities for players to demonstrate skills and to boost their poker bankrolls.

The festival will be opened with a PHP6,600 No-Limit Hold’em tournament that will feature a guaranteed prize pool of PHP1 million. The five-day PHP55,000 Main Event is set to kick off on October 7.

WPT National Korea

South Korea and the beautiful Jeju Island, in particular, will be the next destination on the WPT National calendar. Paradise Grand Casino at Maison Glad Hotel Jeju will welcome players for what will be a week-long poker festival. The event is slated to take place in the week between October 5-11 and will certainly attract quite a lot of attention, given WPT’s reputation as an organizer of some of the most exciting poker tournaments.

The WPT National Korea will begin with a satellite for the Main Event and with a special charity poker tournament on October 5. The actual Main Event with a buy-in of KRW2,000,000 and a guaranteed prize pool of KRW300 million will start on the very next day, October 6.

APPT Melbourne

Poker is on the rise in the Asia-Pacific region and the fact that three major poker festivals are set to kick off there within the span of several days is quite indicative of that. The Asia-Pacific Poker Tour’s next stop will be the emblematic Crown Casino in Melbourne. Season 10 of the popular poker series has proved to be a great success so far and the next festival on its schedule is expected to be just as successful.
