Events & Reports

This week’s poker tournaments overview spreads across three different continents. A festival in the world’s gambling mecca Macau, one in Vienna, one in Malta, and two in the US are the most exciting poker events to kick off in the week between October 17-23. The following paragraphs include more comprehensive information about where exactly the festivals are set to take place and when, as well as about the tournaments they will be featuring.

The EPT and the plethora of other PokerStars-sponsored series of live tournaments will be no more, or at least not in their current form, as of 2017. As the world’s biggest poker room announced earlier this year, all live poker tours it organizes throughout the year in different locations will be combined into the PokerStars Championship.

Malta will be the penultimate stop to take place within the EPT. Portomaso Casino in St. Julian’s will play host to the exciting poker festival from October 18-29. It is also important to mention that the EPT has once again partnered with the IPT (Italian Poker Tour) for a thrilling poker festival in a thrilling poker destination. There will be a number of events to take place as part of the IPT schedule at Portomaso Casino. The IPT €300 Main Event is slated for October 19-23.

APT Macau

Casino Lisboa, a true jewel on the Macau skyline, will welcome players for this latest festival on the Asian Poker Tour schedule. WPT National Vienna

This season’s WPT National schedule includes stops in three different continents. The popular poker series has already visited a number of exciting destinations and the rest of the season promises to be just as thrilling.

Montesino Wien, a gambling venue located at the heart of the Austrian capital, will be the next to welcome the WPT National and players interested in taking part of the tour. Action has already started at the casino with satellites and warm-up events.

The WPT National has joined forces with online poker room partypoker to organize the Vienna festival. The Fall Deep Stack Series will run from October 20-30. This eleven-day festival will attract players from Florida, the rest of the US, and why not international ones, as well, at Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa, Florida.

The festival’s schedule includes six No-Limit Hold’em events, with those featuring prize pools of between $20,000 and $200,000. A four-day $350 No-Limit Hold’em with a guaranteed prize pool of $150,000 will kick off the festival. The Main Event will, too, take place over four days.
