The World Series of Poker and King’s Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic announced a multi-year partnership agreement that will see the popular series taking its WSOP Europe festival to the gambling venue in 2017 and the years beyond. Under the deal, King’s Casino will play host to other WSOP-branded events, as well.

The announcement came only days before the arrival of the WSOP International Circuit at the Central European casino. King’s Casino will be welcoming players for a thrilling WSOP Circuit festival from October 27 through November 14.

The gambling venue is based in Rozvadov, a small Czech village near the German border with a population of around 500 people. The casino is home to Europe’s largest poker room and annually allures hundreds of thousands of poker professionals and enthusiasts with its cash games and tournaments. The WSOP agreement will see the venue further cement its position as a premium poker destination.

Under its partnership with the world’s most popular poker series, King’s Casino and its poker room will play host to the WSOP Europe in 2017 and in 2019. Each of the festivals will be held in the fall and will feature at least 10 WSOP gold bracelet tournaments and no less than €5 million in guaranteed money. In addition, the gambling venue will host two WSOP Circuit festivals a year in 2018 and 2020 and one a year in the spring of 2017, 2019, and 2021.

The partnership between King’s Casino and the WSOP includes broad content distribution of the WSOP Europe gold bracelet events in 2017 and 2019. Each of the Main Events to take place within the two festivals will be filmed for television and the rest of the tournaments will be covered in due manner.

Dates and the official event schedule for the 2017 WSOP Europe are yet to be announced. King’s Casino and the WSOP are currently discussing details about the festival and are to provide more information once these are finalized.

The Rozvadov-based gambling venue is currently in the middle of a massive expansion project, which will see the addition of 40 more poker tables to the 150 it currently features. A new hotel with 218 four- and five-star rooms is also set to open doors as part of the gambling complex. A richly-equipped wellness center will be featured on the hotel’s last floor.

Commenting on the recently signed partnership with the Czech casino, WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart said with the renovation project set to be completed next year, King’s Casino will certainly provide the environment needed for a large festival as theirs. The guaranteed prize pools and the wide media coverage will further contribute to WSOP Europe replicating the poker scale players enjoy in Las Vegas during the summer WSOP festival.
