Online slot games developer and supplier Yggdrasil Gaming announced two new additions to its executive team. Andrew Pegler was appointed as Chief Commercial Officer and the company’s current Head of Front-End Development and Operations Krzysztof Opalka was promoted to the Chief Product Officer role.
Mr. Pegler is joining the game developer from Scientific Games. There he served as Senior Director of Key Account Management. It is also important to note that Yggdrasil Gaming’s new Chief Commercial Officer boasts over 12 years of experience in the iGaming industry.
Now part of the growing online gambling provider, Mr. Pegler will be based in the company’s Gibraltar office. He will lead and oversee Yggdrasil Gaming’s growth in the region. His appointment came as part of the company’s recruitment drive, announced last year, which resulted in its team growing to more than 100 members over a period of several months.
As mentioned above, the supplier also promoted Krzysztof Opalka to Chief Product Officer. Mr. Opalka has previously been in charge of Yggdrasil Gaming’s game development team, overseeing the processes of building the necessary technology for the creation of the company’s products. He will be based in the developer’s Polish studio.
Commenting on the latest announcement, Yggdrasil Gaming CEO Fredrik Elmqvist said that as their business continues growing they are in need of experienced and intelligent people on board. The executive pointed out that both Mr. Pegler and Mr. Opalka fit into the description and will play an important role in the future steering of the company.
Of his appointment, Mr. Pegler said that he has been given a massive opportunity and that he will take advantage of his skills, experience, and business contacts to help Yggdrasil Gaming cement its position in Gibraltar and beyond. The company’s Chief Commercial Officer noted that they have already been working with leading iGaming operator bet365 in Gibraltar and more companies of this scale are to be signed soon.
Mr. Opalka added that he was thrilled with his promotion and the opportunity to further drive the creation of games and related features for their clients. The official described his new role as one that will require him to ensure that Yggdrasil Gaming continues distinguishing itself for product innovation and quality.
