EveryMatrix’s licensure comes after the relatively recent regulation of Romania’s iGaming market. A new regulatory regime was introduced by the country’s lawmakers in 2015. The local gambling regulator started issuing licenses to interested operators and service providers in 2016. A number of leading iGaming companies have already entered the market.
Romania is not an unfamiliar territory for EveryMatrix. In fact, the company’s largest office has been based in the country’s capital, Bucharest, for years now. EveryMatrix CEO Ebbe Groes commented that they are really happy to now be able to provide Romania-facing operators with their products as well as products created by their partners.
In a recent interview with Casino News Daily, Mr. Groes said that expansion is an important part of the company’s growth. As revealed by the executive, EveryMatrix will continue seeking licensure in attractive regions, including Scandinavia, the UK, Central and Eastern Europe. Thus, the company will be able to support its clients’ smooth entrance in said markets.
Apart from the recently obtained Romanian Class II licenses, EveryMatrix also holds licenses from the gambling regulators of Denmark, Ireland, Malta, and the UK.
Most recently, EveryMatrix has extended its footprint in two Nordic jurisdictions by signing agreements to power local gambling operators. The company has won the contract to power Norway’s state lottery with its CasinoEngine content platform. A six-year deal has been signed with the option for a two-year extension. EveryMatrix and its product will power several local casino vendors.
In another deal, the iGaming provider has agreed to supply gaming content to Danish online gambling operator CEGO. Through EveryMatrix’s CasinoEngine aggregator, CEGO, which is one of the largest iGaming companies in its domestic market, will gain access to products from NYX Gaming, Evolution Gaming, Scientific Games, and other internationally recognized suppliers.
EveryMatrix expects further expansion into its core markets as well as into other jurisdictions in the months to come.
