Bellagio Hotel and Casino Announces Poker Games Live Stream via Twitch

Representatives of the luxurious Bellagio Hotel and Casino resort in Las Vegas announced the iconic gambling venue is to live stream the cash games hosted on its premises via the leading video streaming platform Twitch. The Bellagio Hotel and Casino will open its own page on Twitch to facilitate live cash games’ streaming which will start towards the end of April 2017.

The live stream will enable poker players across the globe to get a glimpse of various cash games within the mid-stakes range that will be hosted in one of the most emblematic poker rooms in the world.

Poker fans will be able to keep track of the live action on a weekly basis thanks to the BellagioPOTS page on the popular live streaming video platform. The mid-stake cash games are to be broadcast each week on Wednesday, starting at 7 pm local time. The broadcasts are expected to continue until the World Series of Poker (WSOP) kicks off at the end of May 2017.

The first event to be streamed in real time is scheduled for April 26, 2017, and will be a game of No-Limit Hold’em with a buy-in that ranges between $500 and $2,000 and a $2-$5-$10 betting structure. The next three events will have a similar betting structure and buy-in range and will take place on May 3, May 10, and May 17, 2017.

The last event prior to the start of the WSOP is scheduled for May 24, 2017, and will have a buy-in of $800-$5,000, with a $10-$20 betting structure. At the present moment, the Bellagio governance has not specified an exact return date for the live-streamed cash games. However, it is possible the weekly live stream will commence again shortly after the annual WSOP summer session comes to an end.

The Bellagio Hotel and Casino is home to one of the most iconic card rooms not only in Las Vegas, but in the world as a whole. The card room in question houses a total of 37 tables where low and high-stakes cash games and tourneys take place on a daily basis.

The Bellagio poker room is home to the iconic Bobby’s Room, which is named after Bobby Baldwin, the legendary poker player and casino executive, who claimed the WSOP champion title in 1978. Bobby’s Room is also the place where some of the most prestigious poker games are hosted, and has been frequented by many of the biggest names in the poker world, including players like Doyle Brunson, Daniel Negreanu, and Jennifer Harman.

In addition to the WSOP, the Bellagio Hotel and Casino also plays host to the yearly WPT event, which is held in December. Some of the best poker players in the world flock to the floors of the Bellagio each winter to partake in the $10,000 Bellagio Five Diamond Poker Classics event.

Bellagio is the first casino resort on the Las Vegas Strip to make use of the video streaming platform Twitch, which is not to say it is the first landbased gambling venue to broadcast live cash games from its premises. The Bicycle Club in Southern California also streams its Live at the Bike poker games in real time. The live cash games are broadcast four times per week and feature commentary from established commentators like Bart Hanson and David Tuchman.
