King’s Casino Tests eSports Stars’ Poker Skills in First King’s Gamers Contest

King’s Casino in the Czech village of Rozvadov has become the epitome of quality poker action and a major draw for professionals and recreational players from every corner of the world.

Over the next two days, Europe’s largest poker room will play host to a different set of players – ones that have adopted eSports as their passion. As announced by the gambling venue, it is set to feature the first-ever King’s Gamers Contest on May 16-17. The contest will feature a Bounty Sit & Go game with a guaranteed cash prize of €10,000, to be played today at 6 pm local time, and a €2/5 cash game, scheduled for tomorrow 6:30 pm. Here it is also important to note that the Sit & Go game is an invitation only one, while the Wednesday cash game will feature a waiting list.

Although the event has been promoted as one to be headlined by poker and eSports star Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, several more well-recognized eSports players will participate in it, those being Alan “Hotted” Widmann, Craig “Onscreen” Shannon, Jeffrey “SjoW” Brusi, Marcel “Dexter” Feldkamp, Sebastian “Forsen” Fors, Sophia “djari” White, and Ted “PyrionFlax” Forsyth.

Aside from bringing together prominent gamers and testing their poker skills, King’s Casino will also celebrate the start of its 24/7 Twitch channel King’s TV. The casino has promised to provide Twitch viewers with quality poker action every day of the week.

Twitch was launched in 2011 as a live streaming platform and community for gamers from all around the world. Over 45 million gamers broadcast on Twitch every month. Over the past two years, more and more poker players have gradually begun using the website to stream while playing and provide the poker community with useful bits and bobs about the game.

Twitch’s popularity has increased immensely in the poker world, and now it is not on a rare occasion that one big poker event or another is broadcast live on the platform. King’s Casino’s pursuit for innovation and growth has brought it to Twitch and fans of action at the poker room will now be offered 24/7 experience.

King’s Casino is gearing up for a particularly exciting year, as the venue will play host to the 2017 WSOP Europe. The festival will take place from October 19 through November 10 and will offer 11 gold bracelets up for grabs, more than €20 million in guaranteed prize money, and numerous other exciting options for players.

With its 160 poker tables, the poker room is Europe’s largest one. A 250-room hotel will open doors this summer as part of the King’s Casino complex.
