Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino to Host WSOP Circuit from September 21

The World Series of Poker Circuit announced it has partnered with the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, which is to become its host for one of the Circuit’s Florida stops. This is a first-time partnership between the WSOP Circuit and the major casino and resort chain. The tournament action will start on September 21 and will last for a two-week period until October 2. Participants are enabled to compete in a variety of tournaments within this period, including the 14 official events which can potentially earn them the coveted WSOP Circuit rings.

The Florida stop of the WSOP Circuit is scheduled to start with a $580 No-Limit Hold’em $500,000 Guaranteed Opener which will last between September 21 and September 24. This particular event is expected to draw a good deal of interest on behalf of both professional and less experienced players as it allows for re-entries.

The Main Event Offers $1 Million in Guaranteed Prizes

The same applies to the WSOP Circuit Main Event which is scheduled to run September 29 through October 2, 2017. Those interested in partaking in the Main can do so after buying their way in for $1,675. All participants in the Main Event are entitled to only one re-entry and will compete for a share of the $1 million guaranteed prize pool.

The WSOP Circuits would traditionally grant two players entries to the WSOP Circuit Casino Championship that amount to the sum of $10,000. The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino stop is to follow in this tradition as well. The player who prevails in the $1,675 Main Event and the player who claims the title of the Casino Champion will both receive entries for the WSOP Circuit Global Casino Championship which marks the end of each season.

The crown of a Casino Champion is awarded to the participant who accumulates the greatest number of points for the duration of the tournament series at a given stop. The points are calculated on the basis of the WSOP model. This year, the Main Event at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will count towards accumulating points for the Player of the Year contest.

This year’s WSOP Circuit stop in Hollywood, Florida also caters to the needs of high-stakes players and provides them with the opportunity to take part in the $3,250 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em event. Those who drop out from this high-stakes tournament will be allowed to buy their way back in and attempt to prevail over fellow contestants for a share of the $250,000 that is guaranteed in prize money for the top finishers.

The 2017/2018 season of the WSOP Circuit is said to break the record for the highest number of stops it visits globally, with two stops that are planned for Florida. The schedule for this season involves stops in 13 states and the number of players to enter into the competition may surpass the entries for this year’s WSOP, which took place at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas this summer. The second WSOP Circuit stop in Florida will take place at the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek February 8 through February 19, 2018.
