The prestigious tournament was held at the Dusk Till Dawn Cardroom and Casino in Nottingham where 1,076 entries were recorded for the £1,100 Main Event with a prize pool of £1,043,720. The winner, 39-year-old Chris Brice, managed to eliminate Clark in a heads-up battle that lasted 20 hands. This is the best result from a live tournament for both Clark and Brice, who until now, have not had a victory.
Brice lives in Cheltenham and shortly after the end of the event, he spoke highly of the championship and the organization. Brice admitted he had made a couple of errors, commenting his performance throughout the four-day partypoker LIVE Poker UK Championships Main Event. Despite those mistakes, however, he made it to Day Four and he was one of the thirteen players going for the £187,500 first prize. The winner said he had a smooth play on the final day, a difficult table with tough opponents but his good decisions had won him the title.
