INTRALOT’s CEO Resigns from His Position

intralotGreek-based distributor of numerous gaming and lottery solutions INTRALOT has just announced that Antonis Kerastaris, company’s current chief financial officer, has been promoted to managing director. Kerastaris is to replace Constantinos Antonopoulos, who was in charge of the gaming operator for more than twenty-two years. His retirement came into effect instantly. Yet, he will remain chair of INTRALOT’s board of directors.

Antonopoulos was head of the company since its foundation in 1992. Before that, he had worked for the major Greek telecommunications holding INTRACOM.

Kerastaris had been a managing director of Hellas Online, subsidiary to the telecommunications group. He had also been part of famous companies such as Procter & Gamble, Mercedes, etc.

Antonopoulos commented on his decision to leave his position as INTRALOT’s CEO as being the right thing to do. He shared that he was extremely glad that he had the opportunity to work with the operator’s team of professionals. Together, they managed to expand the company to five continents, serving millions of people. Antonopoulos also stated that he would do his best to help his colleagues in the further development of INTRALOT, so as for them to create products that would suit the demands of their customers.

Socrates Kokkalis, chair and co-founder of the gaming operator as well as CEO of INTRALOT, expressed his gratitude towards Antonopoulos for his commitment and hard work that imminently helped the company to turn into a “pioneering technological group with international recognition.” Kokkalis made sure that his decision to give up on his position as a CEO was going to be regarded with due respect. He also pointed out that Antonopoulos would remain member of the board of directors and a valuable consultant.
