Alice Stars Hires Asian Poker Pros to Promote VR Poker Room

Alice Stars Inc., the company behind AlicePoker, known to be the world’s first multi-platform online poker room offering VR poker experience, announced the creation of the AlicePoker Team Pro and the signing of two top class Asian players as its first members.

Asian poker pros Leon Joker and Sunny Jung have become the first AlicePoker Team Pros earlier this month. As part of their contracts with Alice Stars, both players will take part in international poker tournaments as celebrity ambassadors to the online poker room. They will have to actively promote the newly created poker brand as well as the game of poker as a whole.

South Korea’s Sunny Jung is his country’s all-time most profitable player with live tournament winnings of $1,306,307. He is a one-time APPT ACOP HK$100,000 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event champion. The player captured his title in 2013 and took the amount of $561,228 for his performance. A year later, he finished 2nd in that same tournament, that time scooping $548,002 for his deep run.

As for Leon Joker, he is a former Tencent Pro Poker Player and has made a name for himself as a talented and skilful poker pro. The player is particularly popular in China and this is believed to be particularly helpful to Alice Stars in promoting its poker brand to Chinese players.

Commenting on the latest announcement, Alice Stars CEO Jiwoon Kim said that it is their main goal to present poker as a mind sport and that they have scouted two of Asia’s most widely respected players to promote their concept. The executive also expressed confidence that AlicePoker will turn into the best online poker service aimed for Asian gambling customers, given the fact that the best industry developers have been working on the project and the best possible marketing strategies have been and will be deployed for its promotion.

As mentioned above, AlicePoker has been promoted as the world’s first multi-platform online poker room that includes Virtual Reality poker as part of its offering. The AlicePoker desktop version will be officially launched in October 2016 and will be followed by a mobile version in December. VR poker offering will be available to players early in 2017.
