Red Rake Gaming delivers on expansion strategy with entry into the regulated online gambling market of Portugal
Developer and supplier of games for the online casino industry Red Rake Gaming has secured entry into another European regulated market. In a press release on its official website, the company said Tuesday that it has landed a partnership with Bet Entertainment Technologies Ltd. to supply its content to its Bet.pt operation.
The partnership enables Red Rake Gaming to enter the Portuguese online gambling market. The announcement about the supplier venturing into Portugal comes shortly after it revealed that its online slot games have gone live in the United Kingdom with TradaCasino.
Red Rake Gaming said that through its partnership with Bet.pt, it will roll out its top performing games, including The Asp of Cleopatra, Maya, and Mystic Mirror, to Portuguese players.
Commenting on the latest milestone achieved by his company, Nick Barr, Managing Director for Red Rake’s Malta operations, said that it is a fundamental step in their “regulated market strategy to move in to Portugal.” Mr. Barr added that launching their online casino games with one of the largest and most respected operators licensed in Portugal “is testament to the quality of content [they]
provide.”
Bet.pt Head of Product José Almeida added that since the launch of their online casino in Portugal, the have been expanding their games portfolio with some of the best content from the best casino suppliers. Mr. Almeida went on to say that Red Rake Gaming’s titles will take them to the next level.
Bet.pt holds two licenses from Portugal’s online gambling regulator – SRIJ – one for the provision of sports betting services and the other for online casino games. The operation was one of the early entries into the nation’s online gambling market after its reorganization in 2015.
European Expansion
It has been an eventful year for Red Rake Gaming so far. Aside from launching new online slots games, the company has also delivered on its strategy to expand geographically across multiple regulated markets.
Red Rake Gaming secured a UK Gambling Commission license early into 2019 to be able to launch its products with multiple operators in one of the world’s largest online gambling markets. As mentioned above, the supplier debuted its content to UK players with TradaCasino earlier this month.
News emerged in February that Red Rake Gaming has also obtained a license from the Malta Gaming Authority. This would enable it to roll out its slots games with multiple Malta-licensed online gambling operators. Red Rake Gaming has also expanded physically to the Mediterranean island nation by setting up its commercial and business development team there.
Including its latest licenses, the supplier’s content is now available to players from Belgium, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Spain, and the UK.
