Global Gaming to Launch New Swedish Casino with Finnplay

News

Swedish online gambling group Global Gaming today confirmed the upcoming launch of its newest Sweden-facing online casino – NanoCasino. The new operation is slated to go live within the next few weeks, according to a press release on Global Gaming’s official website.

NanoCasino is the first product of the recently announced partnership between the gambling operator and Nordic online gaming and betting platform and content provider Finnplay.

The new online casino will be powered by Finnplay’s iGaming technology platform, which is licensed and certified to provide services in the UK, Sweden, Denmark, Estonia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, and Mexico.

NanoCasino will be managed by Finnplay’s Viral Interactive Ltd. subsidiary, which holds an online gambling license from the Swedish Gambling Authority, Spelinspektionen.

News about NanoCasino’s upcoming entry into the Swedish online gaming space arrive shortly after Spelinspektionen revoked the operational license of Global Gaming over serious money laundering and KYC shortcomings. The operator appealed the authority’s decision, but was still ordered to suspend its Swedish operations, while the matter is under review.

Global Gaming was licensed to operate the Ninja Casino and Spellandet online gaming brands in Sweden.

Finnplay is a privately owned Nordic gaming platform provider with focus on regulated, tailored gaming solutions for the online and mobile gaming industry. As mentioned earlier, its platform is certified in multiple regulated markets. Viral Interactive, the operator of the new NanoCasino, is Finnplay’s white label multi-channel casino and betting provider. It too is licensed in multiple jurisdictions.

Already Bearing Fruit

Commenting on their new project, Global Gaming CEO Tobias Fagerlund said that it is a pleasure to partner Finnplay and to announce the launch of their joint casino one week into their partnership. Mr. Fagerlund further elaborated that NanoCasino is fully licensed, safe, and secure and the collaboration is already bearing fruit.

Finnplay CEO Martin Prantner added that they are excited to launch their first casino brand with Global Gaming and to bring “enjoyable and safe gaming experience to the Swedish players.”

While Global Gaming is gearing up for its return to the Swedish market, though with a different brand, the company has recently received some bad news in relation to its effort to have its local license back.

Last week, the Swedish Administrative Court of Appeal rejected Global Gaming’s bid to resume its Swedish operations, while the Swedish Gambling Authority’s decision to revoke its license is under review. That ruling affirmed a decision by the Administrative Court of Linköping issued last month. According to both courts, Spelinspektionen was right to order the operator to discontinue its operations in the Swedish market.

Global Gaming’s CEO said last week that while disappointed by the Appeal Court’s ruling, they still firmly believed they would “prevail at the end of the process.” The executive further revealed that the company was considering the possibility to file an appeal for injunctive relief with the Supreme Administrative court.
