Live Casino supplier Evolution Gaming today announced that it has signed a deal to provide its content to Pennsylvania-headquartered casino operator Penn National Gaming.
Under the agreement, Penn will be able to use Evolution’s planned studio in the Keystone State to stream live table games to its gambling customers in Pennsylvania.
News about the deal emerged as Evolution is looking to expand its US presence in states where it is legal to provide the type of content it produces and as Penn, known to be one of the nation’s largest regional casino operators, is looking to cement itself in the expanding US online gambling space.
Commenting on their latest major client, Evolution’s Chief Business Development Officer – America & Land-based, James Stern, said in a statement distributed earlier today that they “very much look forward to delivering world-class Live Casino gaming” to Penn’s players along with “operational excellence, peace of mind and exciting revenue potential” for the casino operator’s digital gambling business.
Penn National Gaming currently operates 40 brick-and-mortar facilities in 19 jurisdictions across North America. The company offers social casino gaming services through its Penn Interactive Ventures division.
Following the legalization of online gaming and digital betting in Pennsylvania, Penn has been able to tap into that vertical, as well, through partnerships with major companies that conduct online gaming and betting activities. Its partnership with Evolution further demonstrates that digital gambling plays a key role in its growth strategy for the coming years.
Evolution’s New Live Casino Studio
Evolution also provided today a bit more details about its planned Live Casino studio that it will open sometime in 2020.
The studio will feature more than 10 online live tables and a wide range of Evolution’s table game variants, including American (Double Zero) Roulette, Infinite Blackjack and Blackjack with side bets, Ultimate Texas Hold’em Poker, Side Bet City, Baccarat, and Auto Roulette. More games are set to be added as the studio expands following its opening next year.
The Swedish Live Casino provider was able to go forward with its plan to build a Live Casino production hub in the Keystone State after it received a conditional Interactive Gaming Manufacturer license from the state Gaming Control Board in early September.
Evolution was the first Live Casino provider to obtain a license from Pennsylvania’s gambling regulator as the state expands its online casino industry. Pennsylvania legalized online casino gaming in the fall of 2017 as part of a sweeping gambling reform that also authorized sports betting, both retail and digital.
Last year, Evolution became the first provider of Live Casino solutions to be licensed in New Jersey. The Swedish company entered that state’s gambling market in August 2018 when it opened its first US-based Live Casino studio. Evolution revealed plans this year to double the size of the facility and said that it expected more US licensees to create dedicated tables and environments with it as a result from the planned expansion.
