NETELLER Marks Brazil Comeback with BetWarrior Deal

News

Nearly two years after it cut off Brazilian gamblers’ access to its services, digital eWallet provider NETELLER is set to return to that lucrative market through a recent partnership with iGaming newcomer BetWarrior.

According to a press release that hit the wire this past Friday, gamblers and bettors across Brazil can now use NETELLER to deposit and withdraw money with BetWarrior.

BetWarriror was launched this year by former PokerStars execs Morten Tonnesen and José Del Pino. The business is based in Barcelona, Spain and provides online and mobile sports betting and casino gaming services.

Licensed in Curacao, BetWarrior puts mobile at the core of its growth strategy. The operator’s recently launched sportsbook is powered by European betting technology provider Kambi Group, while digital product studio Shape has been tapped to deliver native, mobile-first gaming experience that complies with Apple’s new guidelines for gambling apps.

BetWarrior harnesses machine learning and artificial intelligence to tailor gaming and betting experience to each individual customer’s personal preferences.

BetWarrior is among the first online gambling operators to add NETELLER to its list of available payment methods in Brazil as the online payment service provider is looking to venture again into that market.

Offering the Most Convenient Gambling Experience

Commenting on their decision to team up with NETELLER, BetWarrior CEO Morten Tonnesen said that they aim to offer “not only the best mobile sports betting and gaming experience around, but also the most convenient.”

Mr. Tonnesen went on that the popular eWallet is one of the most trusted providers of online payment services and that its addition means that “it has never been easier to enjoy the BetWarrior app.”

NETELLER and its sister brand Skrill, both part of the larger Paysafe Group, shut their doors to Brazilian gamblers in early 2018. None of the two payment service providers were really too straightforward in their explanation why the have chosen not to process gambling-related transactions to and from customers from Brazil, but the legal status of gambling in the country could have had much to do with their decision.

However, with a President who says he is opposed to gambling but seems to be rather soft in his stance on how casino and betting activities should be regulated in Brazil, the country could hopefully soon have a regulated betting and gambling marketplace.

NETELLER’s return to Brazil is just as sudden and silent as its departure. The eWallet has not commented on its partnership with BetWarrior and on its comeback to the country, which many experts call the sleeping giant due to its gambling revenue potential and lack of a proper regulatory framework.

Brazil and Latin America as a whole is one of the first regions BetWarrior has been looking to explore and enhance its presence into since its inception.
