Every single gaming machine installed in Austria needs to be connected directly to the country’s Federal Computing Centre.
Amatic became the second gaming manufacturer to launch its machines in the country after the central control system was introduced by the government back in July 2013. By integrating Comtrade’s sCore G2S protocol stack, Amatic’s devices have fulfilled the Austrian regulator’s requirements and is now able to communicate with the country’s computing centre.
Given the fact that the number regulators that adopt these same standards is constantly increasing, Amatic is planning expand its presence in other regulated gaming markets as well.
Amatic executives pointed out that their partnership with Comtrade is one of their best investments, as now the company’s machines are connected to the Federal Computing Centre. And as already mentioned, it will be able to introduce its products to other countries.
Oliver Lynch, Director of Systems at Comtrade Gaming, noted that his company has been helping manufacturers of gaming machines adopt the newly-launched GSA protocols for quite some time. Mr. Lynch said that Amatic was one of their first customers and they are pleased with the successful introduction of their products in Austria.
The executive also explained that the deployment of the so-called G2S protocols points to the fact that the gaming industry is constantly being modernized. Due to this, Comtrade is to keep on investing in the further improvement of its products. Thus, the company will be able to effectively help both vendors and regulators “upgrade their environments.”
Recently, Mr. Lynch announced that Comtrade is planning to expand its operations in South America and Colombia in general. He explained that the company sees there a lot of opportunities in the area of gaming machine control.
As he pointed out, different markets have different requirements. Yet, according to him, Comtrade managed to develop a solution that would fit in different gaming environments. Mr. Lynch noted that their products make it possible for gaming companies to focus on providing players with unique experience rather than on managing the technology.
