This summer the popular Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas will play host to the first-ever Super High Roller Bowl as well as to two other high roller events. The Super High Roller Series 2015 is scheduled to take place from June 27 through July 4 and some of the biggest names in the world of poker will be seen playing.
The Super High Roller Bowl promises to be the most spectacular of all three events and there are quite a few reasons for this. In the first place, it will take place during this year’s World Series of Poker, which, too, is to be held in Las Vegas. This means that the most popular poker players in the world will be in the city and will certainly be allured by the Super High Roller Bowl and its huge prize pool.
Speaking of the prize pool, it was initially estimated to be more than $25 million, one of the biggest in the history of poker. Furthermore, according to initial information, the Super High Roller Bowl champion will be awarded a first place prize of more than $8 million. The winner will also receive a unique ring, hand-crafted exclusively for the event.
So far, a total of 57 entries have paid the $500,000 buy-in fee. And as it was announced on the event’s official site, some of the world’s most popular and profitable poker pros will take part in it. Phil Hellmuth, who has won record 13 WSOP gold bracelets, Daniel Negreanu, who tops the all time money list with almost $30 million in live earnings, Phil Ivey, who has more than 135 career cashes, are only few of the high rollers that are to be seen at the event’s tables.
The Super High Roller Bowl has attracted the attention not only of the world’s most popular players, but also of people who are not making a living from poker. Their identities have not been revealed yet, but we were told that a retired businessman, a hedge fund manager, a CEO, and a French businessman will also enter the competition.
As mentioned above, apart from the Super High Roller Bowl, which is to take place between July 2-4, Aria will also host a Super High Roller Celebrity Shootout between June 27-28, and a Super High Roller Cash Game between June 30 and July 1.
