Mansion and Titanbet On the Hurry to License Under New UK Legislation

News

titanbetMansion has announced that it is about to close access to the UK-based customers of its online websites, starting from September fifteenth. The company has send out e-mails to its customers stating the reasons are the changes in the UK’s online gaming regulations.

Effective from October the first, a new licensing system will take place in the UK. It is operated by the United Kingdom Gambling Commission, which requires from every UK operating online gambling business to prepare an application if it wants to continue to have a license. The application would afterwards require companies to pay a fifteen percent tax to all of its UK generated revenues.

The new regime will be effective from the first of December this year. The Gibraltar Betting and Gaming Association stands against the new UK gambling laws. If it succeeds, Mansion will be able to continue its business paying less taxes as before.

Mansion is an online gambling company located and licensed in Gibraltar. It was established in 2003 and has acquired a variety of online gaming websites throughout the years. Some of Mansion’s current websites are Casino.com, Slotsheaven.com, Mansioncasino.com and Mansionpoker.com.

Mansion has been accredited as a socially responsible gambling operator, which identifies and fights against the negative effects of gambling. It is certified by the internationally renowned TST lab, as well as the GamCare Responsible Gaming Organization. It is known for its successful team up with Fox Sports Network to win an Emmy award with the series Poker Dome Challenge. The series consisted of players who are selected from the website MansionPoker.net and were flown to Las Vegas to compete in speed poker games for a prize pool of one million dollars.

Another company that is fighting with the new gambling regulations is Titanbet, Playtech-operated online betting operator. Titanbet announced changing its website name from Titanbet.com to Titanbet.co.uk with licensing under the legislation of Antigua.

The new website will be managed by Playtech’s subsidiary PT Entertainment Services. The member database of the old website will be transferred by the eighth of September, a week before the deadline. Titanbet will in this way keep its connection with UK’s punters until a new license is acquired. Titanbet’s UK spokesman explained that the licensing is transferred to a white listed jurisdiction, such as Antigua, so that the UKGC can have enough time to go through the re-application process of Titanbet.

Titanbet offers over seven thousand daily bets in thirty sports categories, starting from football, basketball and tennis. It offers high odds for basketball and tennis, and low odds for football. There is a variety of leagues where you can place different types of bets. On their platform you can also find long-term seasonal bets and bets on entertainment. It offers refunds, bonus winnings, free bets and other features. It accepts deposits through Neteler, Skrill, Bank wires, Credit cards etc.
