Mansion Group Granted UK Remote Gambling License

News

Gibraltar-headquartered gambling operator Mansion Europe Holdings Ltd. announced that it had been awarded a Remote Gambling Software license by the UK Gambling Commission.

Under the license, the gaming company will be able to continue offering its online casino products to residents of the United Kingdom and to attract new customers to its brands. Currently, the Mansion Group operates five different casino sites – Casino.com, SlotsHeaven.com, MansionCasino.com, Club777.com, and LesACasino.com.

In addition, the fact that the gambling operator has been granted the license means that its offering fully complies with the terms and conditions of the Gambling Licensing and Advertising Act, which was implemented in the United Kingdom back in 2014.

Sagi Lahav, Chief Executive Officer of the Mansion Group, commented that they are delighted to receive a license by the UK Gambling Commission. The executive noted that they consider this “an important milestone” in the company’s strategy to be granted licenses in major online gambling markets.

Mr. Lahav said that the Mansion Group will now focus its attention on introducing its operations on the Italian casino market. As he pointed out, the Casino.com brand has been developed specifically for the operator’s Italian customers. The site will have its launch in the country in June.

The Mansion Group executive also commented on the fact that although regulation poses certain challenges before operators, his company actually welcomes “additional security and transparency,” as this corresponds to its policy to promote customer protection and responsible gambling. This is why he believes that gambling-related laws in different countries are actually something good not only for the Mansion Group but also for the industry as a whole.

Back in January, the gambling operator withdrew its brands from the German gambling market, as it wanted to abide by the country’s federal laws concerning online gambling. According to gaming analysts, the company was not likely to re-introduce its operations there.

Towards the end of March, the Mansion Group announced that certain changes in its senior management team were to be implemented. Guy Gussarsky, the former Chief Executive Officer of the company, was replaced by Mr. Lahav as of April 1. The latter had previously taken the position of Chief Operating Officer. He was succeeded by former Director of Business Development for the group – Shelly Hadad.
