In 2014 the number of visitors to the city of Las Vegas reached the highest level in the past 15 years at 41.13 million. The number of people who visited Las Vegas fell in 2001 and 2002 due to the recessionary period in the early 2000s, which caused an impact on the European Union in 2001 and 2002.
