Game Rules and Features

Caribbean Hold’em is one of the most common variations of Texas Hold’em, so if you have ever played the latter, you should be quite familiar with the rules and you have all chances of becoming the next lucky winner as soon as you place a bet.

Before the start of the game, you have to adjust the controls so as they fit your own preferences. The first thing you have to do is to place an Ante bet, which can vary between €1 and €500, although some casinos set lower betting limits. Caribbean Hold’em is no different from the other games when it comes to qualifying for the progressive jackpot. For that purpose, you have to place a side bet. It is optional but most players take advantage of that option as the required amount is really small and yet, rewarding as it enables them to win the progressive jackpot.

So, after you place your bet, the player and the dealer are dealt two cards each but player’s cards are turned face up, while dealer’s cards are face down. There is a special term for these cards, they are known as pocket cards.

Then, three cards, known as the flop, are dealt and the player has to make a decision whether to Raise or Fold. If the player believes dealer’s hand is weaker, they have to Raise but if the cards dealt are of low value, they’d better fold.

If the player chooses to Raise, the amount of the bet should be twice the size of the initial ante bet. In case the player chooses to Fold, the ante is forfeited and two cards are added to the flop. The lowest possible hand the dealer can qualify with is a pair of 4s.

Caribbean Hold Em Progressive Jackpot Poker

Progressive Jackpot

The optional side bet mentioned above qualifies the player for winning the progressive jackpot or a part of it. It depends on the winning combination you hit. If you hit a Royal Flush, you get the entire amount of the accumulated jackpot. However, if you hit another winning combination your winnings will be estimated in accordance to the paytable of the game. Straight Flush pays 20:1, Four of a Kind, Full House and Flush pay 10:1,3:1 and 2:1, respectively.

Admittedly, every casino game has a certain level of risk but the right strategy ensures you solid payouts. If you are put in a position where you are unable to decide whether to Raise or Fold, you should consider using the Strategy Calculator most casinos have as a reference.
