New Jersey’s authorities truly believe that the skill-based games have all the chances to bring a decent income and get into the regulated real-money market.

Yesterday, the representatives of the Division of Gaming Enforcement have expressed their willingness to discuss and eventually accept the applications of reputable developers of “social and skill-based gaming options” with the aim of finding an alternative for incorporating these games into the gambling industry.

The DGE experts are convinced that this goal is absolutely achievable due to several reasons.

First of all, these games will bring extra excitement to the casino floor and the gaming industry will be marked by a significant expansion. In addition, there are hundreds of users who play these games in the social networks so they will, by all means, be willing to try their luck and get real money while playing their favorite game.

The Division of Gaming Enforcement joined forces with the New Jersey authorities for conducting a program called “New Jersey First”. The program is said to give the developers a priority for approval of their applications if they are submitted before or simultaneously with another jurisdiction.

The shortened and accelerated procedure is said to make it possible for the operators to start offering their products and services on the casino floor within two weeks on grounds that all technical faults are identified and fixed.

David Rebuck, the Director of the Division of Gaming Enforcement, urged the operators that would like to bring their business to new heights, to take part in the program. He considers it to be an excellent opportunity for distribution of innovative and enjoyable gambling facilities through the country.

As a matter of fact, the current program and the attempts of the authorities to improve the situation with the skill-based games is not something out of the ordinary. There have been previous endeavours towards that goal but they didn’t achieve the expected success. Actually, the games that were supposed to be transformed into real-money ones, haven’t become popular even on the Internet, which made their conversion useless.

Time will tell if the land-based casinos in New Jersey will take the idea of providing skill-based games wholeheartedly or not. There is an underlying reason for the DGE participation in the campaign though. The authorities are dedicated to make the local casinos more appealing to both – visitors and investors. Yet, the efforts of the New Jersey’s regulators, aimed at making the current pessimistic situation with the casinos a bit more bearable, are praiseworthy.
