The $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em Six-Handed or Event #12 in this year’s WSOP schedule was completed mere hours ago with Israeli poker player Idan Raviv topping the field to collect the biggest cash in his career.

The three-day event attracted a total of 1,651 entries and a prize pool of $2,228,850 was created. The top 180 finishers were paid, with the payouts starting from $2,563. As for Raviv, he pocketed $457,007 in prize money and his first-ever WSOP bracelet.

The 24-year-old Israeli player has never before appeared at a WSOP final table. Yet, last year, he cashed in two Series events – the $1,111 No-Limit Hold’em – The Little One for One Drop, where he finished 242nd for $2,630, and the $10,000 World Championship No-Limit Hold’em, where he finished 181st for $44,728. Raviv has also cashed in a number of other prestigious events over the course of the past several years. His live tournament earnings currently amount to $601,812.

As mentioned above, it took three days before the winner of the $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em Six-Handed was announced. And Englishman Iaron Lightbourne was Raviv’s last obstacle to overcome before capturing the title. The heads-up play between those two started with the English player holding two times more chips than his opponent.

Raviv managed to gradually take the lead and eventually seized the victory. On what turned out to be the last hand in play, Raviv was holding [6d][6c] against Lightbourne’s [Qc][Jc]. The latter shoved all-in and his opponent called. The board showed [Qh][5h][6c][Ad][9d], which meant that the Englishman had to settle for the runner-up finish and the amount of $283,063, his second WSOP cash.

Manoel Filho from Brazil finished 3rd in the event to scoop $186,108 of the entire prize pool. Markus Gonsalves from San Diego, California took 4th place for $122,586.

One-time bracelet winner Craig McCorkell from England finished 5th to add $82,467 to his bankroll. Up to now, the player has almost $1 million in WSOP winnings. He won his bracelet back in 2012 for topping the field of a $3,000 buy-in Shootout event.

Canadian Mike Watson collected his 32nd WSOP cash for taking 6th place in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em Six-Handed. The player was paid the amount of $56,835. Daniel Maor from San Hose, California finished 7th to receive his first WSOP cash of $40,565.
