This year’s edition of the World Series of Poker was completed more than two weeks ago. As many as 67 gold bracelets found their owners and almost $150 million were awarded to more than 10,000 tournament entries. The last piece of 2015 WSOP jewelry is to be given to the winner of the $10,000 Main Event and his name will become clear in November.
During the 46th Annual WSOP a number of players managed to cash more than once or twice, some even captured two gold bracelets. However, there were several tournament entries who did quite well during this year’s Series and collected millions of dollars. Here are the top 5 money earners during the two month poker festival, known to be the most celebrated one in the world.
Jonathan Duhamel ($4,048,137)
The 2010 WSOP Main Event champion collected his second gold bracelet this summer topping the field of the $111,111 High Roller for ONE DROP. He scooped the amount of $3,989,985 for his victory. The player cashed in 5 other events, the $10,00 Main Event included. Overall, Duhamel added $4,048,137 to his poker bankroll this summer.
As mentioned above, the Canadian poker pro has previously won one gold bracelet – the one he was awarded with as the WSOP Main Event Champion back in 2010. Duhamel’s career WSOP winnings currently amount to $13,813,563.
Bill Klein ($2,465,522)
The California-based businessman and poker player was actually the one whom Duhamel faced heads-up in the $111,111 High Roller for ONE DROP. Klein collected $2,465,522 for his runner-up finish in the event and donated his winnings to charity. This was his only cash this summer.
Klein previously made it to the money in two more WSOP events back in 2008 and 2013. His overall WSOP winnings amount to $2,475,213. He has not won any gold bracelets or at least not for now.
Anthony Zinno ($1,899,183)
Zinno has had quite a successful summer. He cashed in a total of 5 WSOP events collecting the amount of $1,899,183. During this edition of the Series, the player managed to capture his first-ever gold bracelet. He was awarded the prestigious non-monetary prize for topping the field of the $25,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha event. His victory also secured him with $1,122,196, his biggest live cash so far.
Zinno’s overall WSOP earnings currently amount to $2,038,432.
Mike Gorodinsky ($1,764,112)
The Russian player cashed in 7 WSOP events this summer, collecting $1,764,112. He also captured his second gold bracelet for winning the $50,000 POKER PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP. The player was also awarded $1,270,086 for his triumph.
Gorodinsky won his first gold bracelet back in 2013, when he emerged victorious in the $2,500 Omaha/Seven Card Stud Hi-Low 8-or Better event for $216,988.
His career WSOP winnings total $2,219,321. The Russian poker pro is currently topping the GPI WSOP Player of the Year ranking with 2157.19 points.
Daniel Colman ($1,544,121)
The winner of the 2014 The BIG ONE for ONE DROP event cashed in one WSOP event this summer. He finished 3rd in the $111,111 High Roller for ONE DROP to collect $1,544,121.
As mentioned above, the player emerged victorious in last year’s The BIG ONE for ONE DROP and captured his first and only gold bracelet as well as the impressive first-place prize of $15,306,668.
Colman’s career WSOP winnings currently amount to $17,009,799, which places him 2nd in the WSOP all time money list with poker pro Antonio Esfandiari being the only ranking higher than him.
