Then he had decided that he wanted to achieve something more than playing poker as an amateur so he started playing professionally more than six years ago. Is looks like the fate was generous towards him and he succeeded in becoming widely recognizable by the poker fans, not to mention his outstanding skills that have been highly appreciated by several poker masters.

A lot of pleasant events have been happening in the life of Rob Coventry recently. He won the impressive sum of $314, 000 in the World Series of Poker Circuit after defeating a few tough opponents, including Viet Vo. His victory also brought him the gold ring and the opportunity to take part in the National Championships that are to be held at Horseshoe Hammond.

Defeating his opponents was a challenging mission but Coventry achieved an overwhelming victory. Nobody could deny the excellent strategy and the exciting final table than enabled him beat Steve Billirakis, Viet Vo and Michael Telker.

As mentioned above, winning the prestigious award was not the only pleasant surprise for Coventry. The 31-year old poker pro became a Dad and luckily, succeeded in adding a life changing amount of money to the family budget.

As far as the poker event is concerned, Coventry commented that the money, he has earned will be set aside for the education of his son. He also added that this victory is a great opportunity for his family to overcome future financial difficulties. Coventry also said that being a father was the best feeling in the world and he usually stays awake at night to look after the baby. He admitted that he is not able to participate in all tournaments he would like but he never misses taking part in WSOP.

At the final table Coventry faced serious opponents – Viet Vo, Telker and Billirakis, who was believed to get the second ring despite his long absence from the tournament. Talker was the first to leave the final table and was respectively ranked fourth. It took three hours to Coventry to defeat the other two players.

The WSOP tournament was the most important and popular poker tournament Coventry have been taking part in since 2008 when he won the Venetial Deepstack, defeated more than 1, 000 players and got an award, equal to more than $1, 700, 000.

Coventry gave a brief interview for a respected media. When asked about the skills he considers to be his strongest advantages, the poker pro said that since the first day he has started playing poker, he never stopped learning and refreshing his memory. Becoming a prominent player costed him a lot of time for studying different techniques and searching for the right strategy. In general, Coventry believes that the hard work is what made him successful.
