Jake Schindler Continues Climbing in the GPI Leaderboard

Nothing changed in top 3 of the GPI leaderboard after its traditional Wednesday update. Jason Mercier is still ranking 1st with 4,043.95 points. Byron Kaverman is 2nd with 3,987.89 points and Scott Seiver is 3rd with 3,963.41 points.

This week saw poker player Jake Schindler climbing 13 positions to enter top 20 of the ranking and take 13th place. He has collected a total of 3,375.08 points since the beginning of the year. In addition, Schindler currently ranks 25th in the GPI Player of the Year leaderboard with 2,658.37 points.

So far, the player has captured a total of $4,258,927 in live tournament earnings. His best live cash amounts to $1,192,624 and he received it in January 2014 for topping the field of the PCA $25,500 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller.

Schindler has cashed in a number of events since 2009. A notable achievement of his is his first place in a 2011/2012 WSOP Circuit $345 No-Limit Hold’em Six Handed event at Palm Beach Kennel Club. There, the player captured the first place prize of $24,736 and his first and only WSOP Circuit gold ring.

As for his WSOP performance, Schindler has cashed a total of $446,033 so far from different Series events. His best achievement is his third-place finish in the 2014 WSOP $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em event for $212,373. This summer, Schindler made it to the money in three Series events adding a little more than $50,000 to his poker bankroll.

It also could be said that the player has had a relatively profitable year so far, although he has not won any major tournaments. In January, he took 9th place in the PCA $100,000 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller event for $185,660.

In April, he took part in the WPT World Championship held at the Borgata and finished 8th to capture the amount of $104,324. In May, he had a third-place finish in the Aria High Roller XIII $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em event for $147,600. In July, the player finished 4th in the inaugural WPT Choctaw $3,500 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event, where he took home $224,913 for his efforts.

Based in Pennsylvania, Schindler is taking 4th place in the state’s all-time money list. As for the general all-time money list, the player is currently ranking 171st.
