Nowadays, poker is indisputably one of the most popular games providing both players and fans with opportunities and excitement that few other games could offer. This is why it is not a surprise that so many poker-related events are held daily in different parts of the world.
Here are five of the poker tournaments that are scheduled to begin in the week between August 17-23 as well as important information about where they are to be held and the events that will feature.
EPT Season XII/ Estrellas – Barcelona
The EPT Season XII is to kick off on Wednesday, August 19. One of the world’s most popular poker festivals will mark the beginning of its twelfth season at Casino Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain. The tournament will run through August 30 and will feature a total of 48 No-Limit Hold’em, Omaha, Razz, and other events.
The buy-in fees for those vary from €120 to €50,000 for the three-day No-Limit Hold’em Super High Roller. The EPT Main Event is scheduled to start on August 24 and will continue up to August 30. Players who would like to enter it will need to pay a buy-in fee of €5,300.
2015/2016 WSOP Circuit – Baltimore
Maryland’s Horseshoe Casino Baltimore will be the next stop in the WSOP Circuit schedule. The tournament is set to start on August 20 and will run through August 31. Players will be given the chance to enter as many as 12 No-Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha, and Big O events. The buy-in fee for 10 of those is $365. A two-day No-Limit Hold’em event with a guaranteed prize pool of $50,000 will cost players $580. And last but not least, the buy-in fee for the four-day Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of $500,000 is $1,675.
Speaking of the Main Event, it will start on August 28. The $365 No-Limit Hold’em with a guaranteed prize pool of $350,000 is another one worth mentioning.
2015 WPTDeepStacks – Nevada
Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, Nevada will play host to a WPTDeepStacks tournament from August 20 to August 31. It will feature 16 No-Limit Hold’em and Omaha events with buy-ins varying from $150 to $1,100 for the three-day Main Event. It will begin on August 28 and will feature a guaranteed prize pool of $200,000.
2015 Summer Deep Stack Series
The Summer Deep Stack Series is yet another exciting tournament that will start on August 20. It will be held at Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa, Florida and will run through August 30. Players will have the opportunity to join the fields of 10 No-Limit Hold’em events with buy-ins starting from $125.
The $560 Main Event will run from August 27 to August 30 and will feature a guaranteed prize pool of $200,000.
2015 Atlantic Coast Championship
The tournament will be held from August 23 to August 30 at Maryland Live! Casino in Hanover, Maryland. It will feature 5 No-Limit Hold’em events with buy-in fees starting from $100 to $550 for the Main Event. It is scheduled to kick off on August 26 and it will take a total of 5 days for the name of the champion to be determined. Entries will have the chance to win a share of the guaranteed prize pool of $200,000.
