Oneida Nation Adds Table Games to Yellow Brick Road Casino

News

Yellow Brick Road Casino officials announced on Thursday that the gambling venue will start offering Las Vegas-style table games by the end of the year. This will result in the creation of at least 30 new permanent jobs.

The Oneida Indian Nation, which runs the Chittenango-located casino, said that the decision for the addition of table games came as a response to gambling customers who have been asking for craps, blackjack, etc. since the venue’s first day of operation. They will be offered at the space that is occupied by the property’s bingo hall.

Ray Halbritter, Chief Executive Officer of Nation Enterprises and representative for the Oneida Indian Nation, said in a statement that the table games will take the gambling venue “to an entirely new level.” Mr. Halbritter expressed confidence that their gambling customers will enjoy greatly that next phase in the development of Yellow Brick Road Casino.

Casino officials also noted that people who would like to be among the first dealers at the newly added tables could apply online to attend the dealer classes that will be organized by the gambling venue. Applications can be submitted on the Yellow Brick Road Casino official website.

Candidates will be trained for blackjack, craps, and a number of other table games that will be offered at the property. There will be morning, afternoon, and evening classes. Candidates will have to pay a tuition fee of $175 in order to be able to attend the school. Classes are scheduled to begin on September 8 in Chittenango.

As mentioned above, the new table games will be featured in the large bingo hall. Bingo will be offered at the venue until August 31. Then, the hall will be closed and redesigned to accommodate the new additions. The new gaming space is expected to be ready by the end of 2015.

Mr. Halbritter commented that patrons at the casino have been asking for Las Vegas-style table games since it opened doors. The executive noted that they are pleased to provide their customers with exactly what they want.

Yellow Brick Road Casino was officially launched on June 2. The Oz-themed gambling complex, styled so to celebrate the popular children’s novel, features a Keno lounge, 430 slot machines, a 500-seat bingo hall, and a number of food and beverage and entertainment options.
